Job summary

Kia America, Inc. in Mandan, ND, seeks Military Veterans with mechanical experience to start a rewarding career as an Automotive Service Technician through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

This GI Bill®-approved program provides a one-year competency-based apprenticeship at a Kia dealership, with training, tools, and support to achieve Kia Service Technician certification and potential Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) during the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Must have U.S. military service with honorable discharge.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening.
• Prior mechanical or technical field experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform inspections and diagnostics using Kia procedures.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Test drive to verify repair quality.
• Communicate with service advisors and shop foremen.
• Keep a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
