Job summary

A participating Kia dealership in Madison, Wisconsin, seeks Military Veterans with mechanical experience for the role of Automotive Service Technician. This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program, offering a structured, one-year apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Eligible veterans will receive a Monthly Housing Allowance while developing their technical skills in a supportive environment alongside experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and transmissions.
• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs using Kia diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors to ensure positive customer experience.
