McGrath Kia in Hiawatha, IA, is looking for Military Veterans to start a career as an Automotive Technician Apprentice. This is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), focusing on transitioning veterans into the automotive industry.

The apprenticeship lasts one year leading to Kia Service Technician certification, offering full-time employment with a participating dealership while receiving a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) through the GI Bill®.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.
