There are two types of Vetco shifts:

Vetco Vaccination Clinics

• Offer wellness exams, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchips.
• No surgeries or emergency visits.
• Located inside Petco stores.

Vetco Total Care Hospitals

• Include preventive care, diagnostics, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures.
• Equipped with digital records, ultrasound, X-ray, and on-site labs.
• No overnight or emergency on-call shifts.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license in good standing.
• State-specific licensing for shift functions, including blood draws and vaccinations.
• DEA license in good standing (preferred for hospital shifts).
• Professional Liability Insurance and license defense policy.
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates.

Average bid rates in New York state range from $150.00 to $187.00 per hour, depending on location and shift duration.
