Job summary

CityVet Phillips Creek is seeking a Veterinary Technician (VT) to join our team in Frisco, TX. The VT will support veterinarians, prep patients for surgery, handle anesthesia, and assist with labs and client communications.

Responsibilities include collecting samples, administering medications, and ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining clinic efficiency. Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience preferred; must be at least 18.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must be 18+ at time of hire.
• Good client communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians by prepping patients for surgery and handling anesthesia and labs.
• Obtain and prepare samples for testing and interpretation.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments as directed.
• Communicate care instructions clearly to clients.
• Support the Client Service Specialist team as needed.
• Maintain patient care and clinic efficiency daily.
