Job summary

CityVet Alliance is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team in Fort Worth. The VT will assist Veterinarians by preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, taking x-rays, and gathering lab samples to support efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities include laboratory testing, medication administration, client communication, and collaboration with the Client Service Specialist team to ensure exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Ability to restrain animals safely.
• Lift 50 lbs and perform standing/bending tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians by prepping patients for surgery (administer anesthesia/take x-rays/gather lab specimens) and monitoring post-op.
• Obtain samples (stool, blood, and other specimens) for testing.
• Test the samples gathered and help interpret the results.
• Administer prescribed medications, including anesthesia, vaccines, or other meds per the DVM.
• Communicate with clients to obtain medical information and explain the care plan.
