Job summary
Rossmoor Pet Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our compassionate team. The role offers hands-on clinical support, anesthesia monitoring, radiography, and ultrasound alongside a friendly, animal-loving staff.
In-person work with opportunities for growth and cross-training is available. Ideal candidates are experienced with animals, capable of handling kennel duties, and able to lift up to 50 lbs, with a strong focus on client communication
Qualifications
- Compassionate, dedicated and detail-oriented attitude.
- Willing to cross-train for CSR role.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and anatomy.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, anesthesia monitoring and surgery.
- Provide patient care, including IV catheters, blood draws and dental scaling.
- Process lab samples and support digital imaging and ultrasound.
- Greet clients, answer calls, schedule appointments and educate owners on care.
- Maintain cleanliness and accurate patient records.
