Job summary

Western Veterinary Partners offers a veterinary externship program where students in any year can gain real-world clinical experience at WVP practices across the United States. You will work under supervising veterinarians, learn client communication, patient histories, exams, and treatment planning, including in-house labs and some procedures.

As an extern, you’ll receive a $1,000 stipend and opportunities to expand your veterinary network and explore different practice settings, including

• Externship for veterinary students in any year with WVP Practice
• Practices across United States with high standards of medicine and client care
• Develop professional and personal growth in a supportive environment

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience by applying classroom knowledge to clinical settings
• Learn client communication, patient histories, exams, and treatment plans under supervision
• Observe/assist or perform procedures including dental procedures and in-house labs
