Job summary

United Veterinary Care in the United States hosts veterinary students for externships across our network of over 100 hospital locations in more than 20 states. This clinical experience lets you apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting.

Externships are designed for clinical-year students at AVMA-accredited schools (3rd or 4th year). You will participate in case discussions and hands-on patient care in GP, ER, and specialty settings, with mentorship and travel stipends available to offset

Qualifications

• Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Priority scheduling to clinical-year students on externship blocks for school credit.
• Must provide proof of professional liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in case discussions and hands-on patient care.
• Be supervised by an experienced veterinarian during surgeries, dental procedures, emergencies and exams.
