Job summary

Western Veterinary Partners offers an externship program across its practices in the United States, allowing veterinary students at any level to gain real-world experience during clinical year externship blocks or for informal externship exposure.

As an extern, you will work with supervising veterinarians to learn practice management, client communication, and case ownership, with opportunities to observe or assist dental and other procedures while expanding your professional network.

Qualifications

• Current veterinary student (any grade) seeking externship experience.
• WVP externship blocks or informal externship experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with supervising veterinarian to gain experience in practice management and client communication.
• Assist with or observe surgeries and dental procedures; learn diagnostics and treatment planning.
• Develop skills in time management, record-keeping, and teamwork with veterinary staff.
