Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners in Marin County, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented Veterinary Laboratory Technician to support our clinical team with accurate laboratory testing, specimen processing, and quality control in a fast-paced veterinary hospital.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary, medical, or laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• Experience with veterinary laboratory equipment and diagnostic testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process laboratory samples and accurately enter results into the hospital information system.
• Prepare and submit specimens to outside reference and specialty laboratories.
• Perform routine quality control testing and maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Maintain laboratory records, including temperature, shipping, and quality control logs.
• Receive, organize, and restock laboratory supplies.
• Communicate laboratory results and updates to veterinarians and support staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
• Support timely diagnostics and high-quality patient care through accurate laboratory procedures.
