Job summary

Refinery Road Veterinary Clinic in Gainesville, TX seeks a dedicated Kennel Assistant to support grooming and boarding services. You will help maintain a clean, safe boarding area, walk and feed patients, and assist with basic patient care under supervision.

The role requires weekend availability and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Prior veterinary experience is preferred, with PPE and OSHA safety practices in place.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability and flexibility to work weekends.
• Previous veterinary experience preferred but not required for all shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; OSHA safety practices to be followed.

Responsibilities

• Grooming/boarding care for patients and ensuring clean, safe boarding areas.
• Admit patients with owner instructions and record feeding schedules, appearance, and behavior.
• Assist doctors and technicians; walk patients and provide exercise.
• Wash and sterilize bowls; launder towels and blankets; keep cages tidy and labeled.
