Job summary

Jules Veterinary Center offers veterinary students an externship to understand daily hospital operations and gain hands-on clinical experience in a fast-paced general practice that handles urgent care and surgery.

You will work with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain experience in patient histories, exams, treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, and observing or assisting surgeries, while developing communication with the team and clients. A travel/living stipend is provided.

Qualifications

• Externship available for veterinary students in clinical settings.
• Opportunity to practice communication with medical team, staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Create treatment plans and participate in diagnostics.
• Observe or assist in surgical procedures.
