Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor Program Manager/Director for Vet Center services. You will supervise a multidisciplinary team, oversee readjustment counseling, outreach, and care coordination—across multiple Vet Center locations—while managing budgets and program policies.

The role emphasizes leadership, data-driven outcomes, and coordination with congressional and VA leadership. Telework is available; some in-person work is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, current, unrestricted license to independently practice as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC).
• Experience managing programs, budgets, and staff in a clinical setting is required.
• Knowledge of VA policies, EDRP eligibility, and program administration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee readjustment counseling, outreach, referrals, and care coordination.
• Supervise professional and nonprofessional staff across Vet Center locations.
• Plan, implement, and monitor Vet Center policies, budgets, and program outcomes.
• Prepare reports for facility, VISN, and national leadership.
