Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program required or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform all required NAVTA-certified veterinary assistant program skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians to support hospital operations.
• Maintain flow of patients and communicate with the veterinary team.
• Carry out procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards for safety and cleanliness of pet care areas.
• Educate clients about preventive care and Optimum Wellness Plans.
• Mentor other hospital staff as needed.
