Job summary

MarineMax seeks a Marine Equipment Operator to safely operate forklift and assist in moving vessels within the marina, sales and service areas. You will monitor equipment, support dock operations, and uphold safety standards to protect customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and vessels safely to move and position boats for marina, sales and service.
• Monitor BoatCloud and assist in timely scheduled boat moves.
• Work with Dockmaster and Marina Team Leads to complete scheduled moves.
• Ensure drain plugs or water pickups are secure.
• Power-wash vessels after removal from salt/fresh water.
• Safely maneuver vessels in and out of the marina.
• Use slings and shackles safely for movements.
• Place keel blocks and support blocks under vessels as appropriate.
• Position hull supports and frames for vertical support.
• Mount propellers on shafts to prepare boats for launching.
• Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure machinery is working.
• Check daily fluid levels and report issues.
• Report dock repairs to management.
• Assist customers docking, boarding and disembarking with professional service.
• Promote MarineMax Safety Program; maintain a hazard-free workplace.
• Know spill containment supplies and use them
