Job summary

MarineMax Services Inc. is seeking a Marine Equipment Operator in Thunderbolt, GA to operate travel lifts, forklifts and related gear, moving vessels safely for marina, sales and service.

You will monitor equipment gauges, inspect hydraulics, and maintain spill containment readiness as part of daily tasks. The role emphasizes safety, proper equipment inspection, and teamwork with the Dockmaster and Marina Team Leads to coordinate moves, support customers docking, and uphold the MarineMax Safety

Qualifications

• Proper and safe operation of forklift and equipment to move vessels for marina, sales and service.
• Monitor BoatCloud and assist in timely moves of customers and scheduled moves.
• Support and coordinate with Dockmaster and Marina Team Leads for BoatCloud moves.

Responsibilities

• Proper and safe operation of the forklift and/or equipment to ensure safe and timely moving, blocking and placement of all vessels for marina, sales and service.
• Monitor BoatCloud, if applicable, and assist in the timely moves of customer, marina, sales and service scheduled boat moves.
• Work with Dockmaster and Marina Team Leads to ensure BoatCloud scheduled moves are completed.
• Ensure all drain plugs or water pickups are secure, when applicable
• Power-wash vessels when removed from salt/fresh water
• Proper and safe operation of vessels while maneuvering in/out of marina.
• Proper and safe use of slings/shackles ensuring safe movements
• Place keel blocks, boat stands and support blocks under vessel appropriate to the size of the boat
• Slide and position hull support blocks and frames against boat bottom for vertical support
• Mount propellers on shafts to prepare boats for launching
• Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure machinery/equipment is functioning
• Check equipment daily for fluid levels and general operation; report issues
• Report dock repairs to management including electrical, water, lines, and dock boards
• Assist customers docking, tying, boarding and disembarking from vessels with professional service
• Promote and participate in MarineMax Safety Program; maintain a safe workplace
• Know spill containment supplies and be knowledgeable in their use
