Job summary

MarineMax is seeking a Marine Equipment Operator in Savannah, GA to safely move vessels and operate marine equipment. You will work with the marina team to ensure safe, timely vessel moves for marina, sales and service activities.

The role requires hands-on operation of forklifts and other equipment, daily safety vigilance, and active participation in the MarineMax Safety Program. Join a team focused on high safety standards and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift to move, block, and place vessels for marina, sales and service.
• Monitor BoatCloud and assist in timely moves of scheduled boats.
• Coordinate with Dockmaster and Marina Leads to complete BoatCloud scheduled moves.
• Ensure drain plugs and water pickups are secure.
• Power-wash vessels when removed from water.
• Operate vessels safely while maneuvering in/out of marina.
• Use slings/shackles safely for vessel movement.
• Place keel blocks, boat stands and supports under vessels as sized.
• Position hull support blocks and frames for vertical support.
• Mount propellers on shafts to prepare boats for launching.
• Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure equipment works.
• Check daily fluid levels and operation; report maintenance issues.
• Report dock repairs to management.
• Assist customers during docking, tying, boarding and disembarking.
• Participate in MarineMax Safety Program.
• Understand spill containment supplies and how to use them.
