Job summary

M&M Talent Group in Houston is seeking experienced Vessel Fitters for night-shift industrial fabrication positions. The ideal candidate will read blueprints, fit and assemble vessel components, and work with heavy steel.

Responsibilities include measuring, tacking, locating parts, using torches and grinders, and adhering to safety and production schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous vessel, tank, or heavy industrial fitting experience required.
• Strong blueprint and fabrication drawing reading skills.
• Ability to perform accurate measurements and layout.
• Experience using oxy-fuel torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Ability to work with heavy steel components.
• Ability to pass required fitter testing.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be dependable and willing to work night shift.
• Must follow all safety requirements and PPE standards.

• Fit and align plates, shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, and other components.
• Measure and verify dimensions and tolerances.

• Position and secure components prior to welding.
• Perform tack welding as required.
• Work with rigging and lifting equipment when properly trained.
• Inspect fit-ups to ensure proper alignment and dimensions.
• Follow production schedules and quality requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
