Job summary

Ingram Marine Group is seeking a skilled Engineer to join our fleet and apply your mechanical knowledge to vessel systems, propulsion, steering, and maintenance. You will participate in safety drills, logs, and ensure compliance with USCG and company policies.

You will supervise junior engineers and deckhands, perform repairs, and coordinate with crews for routine and emergency maintenance, while adhering to environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain vessel engines and auxiliary systems.
• Conduct safety drills and inspections per USCG and company policies.
• Direct fuel transfers and bilge operations according to procedures.
• Maintain logs of engine hours and maintenance activities.
• Supervise junior engineers and deckhands during engine room tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with crew for vessel operations and repairs.
• Repair vessel engines, generators, and other systems as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure vessel readiness.
• Keep engine room clean and well-organized.
