Job summary

Ingram Marine Group is seeking a skilled Engineer to join our crew aboard vessels serving inland waterways. If you have mechanical skills and knowledge of vessel systems, this role offers challenging work and the chance to contribute to safe and efficient operations.

You will support engine room activities, perform repairs, and supervise junior engineers and deckhands while adhering to USCG regulations and company safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe crew, vessel and tow operation per safety systems.
• Participate in safety drills and audits.
• Maintain engine room cleanliness and perform maintenance.
• Direct fuel transfers, lubricants and bilge operations per procedures.
• Maintain logs of engine hours and maintenance activities.
• Comply with USCG and environmental regulations.
• Repair vessel engines, generators and other systems.
• Supervise JR. Engineers and Deckhands.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
