Job summary

U.S. Waffle Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Vertical Wrapper Operator to join our production team. This role sets up, operates, and maintains vertical packaging equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality finished products.

The ideal candidate will monitor lines, troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with team members to meet daily goals while upholding SQF, GMP, and HACCP food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Basic math and mechanical skills required.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve problems independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate vertical wrapping machines according to product specifications.
• Adjust machine settings (film size, tension, tube size, etc.) to ensure proper operation.
• Monitor production lines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with changeovers, including moving materials and equipment.
• Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
• Communicate effectively with Production Leads and team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
• Reduce waste and report any product or equipment issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards (SQF, GMP, HACCP).
• Support team goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
