Job summary

U.S. Waffle Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable Vertical Wrapper Operator to join our production team. You will set up, operate, and maintain vertical packaging equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality finished products.

The role requires monitoring lines, troubleshooting equipment, and performing routine maintenance while complying with SQF, GMP, and HACCP standards to uphold food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Basic math and mechanical skills required.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve problems independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Good communication skills; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate vertical wrapping machines according to product specifications.
• Adjust machine settings (film size, tension, tube size, etc.) to ensure proper operation.
• Monitor production lines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with changeovers, including moving materials and equipment.
• Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
• Communicate effectively with Production Leads and team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
• Reduce waste and report any product or equipment issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards (SQF, GMP, HACCP).
• Support team goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
