Job summary

U.S. Waffle Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable Vertical Wrapper Operator to join our production team.

This role sets up, operates, and maintains vertical packaging equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality finished products. The ideal candidate will monitor lines, troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and work with team members to meet daily goals while ensuring compliance with SQF, GMP, and HACCP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Basic math and mechanical skills required.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve problems independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Good communication skills; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate vertical wrapping machines according to product specifications.
• Adjust machine settings (film size, tension, tube size) to ensure proper operation.
• Monitor production lines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with changeovers, including moving materials and equipment.
• Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
• Communicate effectively with Production Leads and team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
• Reduce waste and report any product or equipment issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards (SQF, GMP, HACCP).
• Support team goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
