Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) invites you to join our NYC team as a Vertical Structures Intern for Summer 2027.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting transportation projects across New York and the Northeast, collaborating with engineers and designers to advance multiple initiatives. You’ll assist with construction document creation using CAD/BIM tools, perform basic structural analyses, and contribute to design development under supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering with structural focus.
• Familiarity with drawing production software and BIM tools is a plus.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA 3D, Ram, Enercalc, and SAP2000 a plus.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects on schedule.
• Assist engineers with creating construction documents using CAD/BIM tools.
• Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing tasks as directed by senior engineers.
• Prepare reports and summarize information gathered by others.
