Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a production technician to set up, operate, and disassemble equipment used in producing work in process and finished goods. The role involves loading, unloading materials, packaging, and moving products, with a shift between production and sanitation as directed by the plant supervisor.

You will work under GMP and SQF guidelines, wear PPE, and contribute to safety. The position requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years in food manufacturing; forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in industrial equipment or food manufacturing.
• Forklift certification a plus.
• Ability to follow GMP and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to GMP during production, sanitation, and handling materials and ingredients.
• Maintain and adjust equipment to control weights on packages or cases.
• Meet production performance requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Transfer finished products and raw materials to identified locations.
• Follow safety requirements including PPE as prescribed.
• Perform CCP checks as needed depending on location.
• Follow SQF principles relevant to position.
• Report safety concerns to shift lead/supervisor and QA/Safety staff.
