Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist Float Pool PRN to deliver patient-centered care. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to restore mobility and reduce pain.

This role emphasizes evidence-based interventions, progress monitoring, patient and family education, and mentoring students. Qualified PTs must hold an LPT license and meet ACLS within 30 days; travel is not required.

Qualifications

• LPT licensed in good standing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate PT degree.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and plan personalized PT treatment with the care team.
• Deliver evidence-based PT interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress, refine plans, and document outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs and safe techniques.
• Collaborate across disciplines for cohesive patient-centered care.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding values.
