Concentra in Reading, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support a fast-paced patient care team. You will perform routine procedures, assist clinicians, and handle front-office tasks to ensure a quality patient experience.

Ideal candidates have an accredited MA program with externship or 1+ year of direct patient care, plus HIPAA knowledge and good communication. Benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship highly preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, OR military medical specialist experience (must meet credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations)
• Job-Related Experience: at least six months or more of medical assistant experience; knowledge of medical procedures and terminology; working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred
• Job-Related Skills/Competencies: HIPAA and PHI handling, excellent customer service, and strong verbal/written communication; teamwork and adaptability; ongoing training and certifications (Drug Screen, Breath Alcohol, Hair and Oral Fluids)

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing
• Assist providers during examination and treatment
• Handle clerical tasks and proper record keeping in front/back office
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure accurate documentation
