Job summary
The Budd Group is seeking a General Maintenance Technician I in High Point, NC, working Wednesday through Sunday from 4pm to 10:30pm. You will assist in a variety of trades to keep facilities in good repair and safe condition.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a 1-year certificate or related maintenance experience, and hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, and electrical repair. You’ll join a team focused on quality, safety, and reliable service.
Qualifications
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
- One-year certificate from college or technical school, or 1 year related experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance.
- HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, lighting and electrical repair skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating and repairing minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Perform general building maintenance repairs and services.
- Communicate with supervisor about outside expert assistance.
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor carpentry tasks.
- Receive and complete work orders; maintain records.
- Adhere to safety with lockout/tagout and PPE.
- Assist with PM program and on-call duties when required.
- Maintain company vehicle and equipment.
