Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in assigned facilities, including interior and exterior areas.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and hand and power tool proficiency, with responsibilities such as HVAC coil cleaning, door and lock maintenance, plumbing repairs, painting, and prioritizing work orders.

On-site in Arlington Heights, IL with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, CMMS (Maximo).
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: perform preventive and corrective tasks on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
• Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and furniture.
• Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers and other building systems.
• Repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.
• Prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces; perform general handyman tasks.
• Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and other maintenance as assigned.
• Prioritize PMs, corrective and emergent work orders for the site.
