Job summary

Syntec Optics is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Rochester, NY to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in accordance with safety regulations. You will participate in building and grounds upkeep and support preventative maintenance processes across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include handling emergency repairs, reading manuals and work orders, tracking maintenance and spare parts inventory, and performing basic machinist tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Excel, Word, Outlook proficiency.
• Experience in building, grounds, and machine maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain equipment across the facility.
• Provide emergency and scheduled maintenance for production equipment.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance tasks.
• Track preventive maintenance and repairs for all equipment.
• Manage inventory of spare parts for maintenance.
• Assist on production floor with material handling and upkeep.
• Perform basic machinist duties as needed.
