Job summary

Summer Garden Food Manufacturing in Boardman, OH is seeking a Floater Operator for the 1st shift to safely operate production equipment and process ingredients following GMP/SQF guidelines. The role supports the Master Production Schedule and ensures quality and safety in every step.

This position requires physical capability to lift up to 80 lbs, stand and bend, and operate forklifts (certification provided).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Frequent lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Able to read and write English fluently.
• Regularly required to stand, walk and bend.

Responsibilities

• Safely and properly changeover and operate equipment in the work area.
• Clean and sanitize the work area thoroughly.
• Fill in for each work position when needed.
• Perform operator level adjustments and preventive maintenance.
• Complete paperwork and touch screen entries accurately.
• Direct and train temporary workers to complete tasks.
• Support training programs for employees in the area.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack as required (in-house certification provided).
• Work under pressure while multi-tasking and follow supervisor instructions.
