Job summary

JLL in Indianapolis is seeking a Facilities Generalist to perform a broad range of maintenance across our buildings, from HVAC and electrical work to plumbing, carpentry and painting. You will work independently and with a team to keep facilities safe, functional and well‑maintained.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, responsiveness to work orders, and coordination with licensed contractors for specialized projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities operations.
• Experience in multiple trades: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and respond to service requests promptly.
• Replace light fixtures and basic electrical components within non-licensed scope.
• Repair leaks, replace fixtures, and manage minor plumbing tasks.
• Carry out carpentry and finish work, including drywall, trim and furniture assembly.
• Paint interior/exterior surfaces and maintain exterior grounds.
• Coordinate with licensed contractors for specialized work.
• Document activities and inventory in the facility management system.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and company policies.
