This role requires a broad skill set to address day-to-day operational needs including minor HVAC repairs, basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance. The Generalist works independently and as part of a team to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.**Key Responsibilities**Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment within the scope of non-licensed work.Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and complete scheduled maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime.Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely manner, troubleshooting issues and determining appropriate solutions.Execute minor electrical work such as replacing light fixtures, ballasts, switches, and outlets (within non-licensed parameters).Perform basic plumbing repairs including fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, unclogging drains, and minor pipe repairs.Complete carpentry and finish work including door repairs, drywall patching, trim installation, and furniture assembly.Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed to maintain facility appearance and protect building materials.Maintain building grounds including snow removal, landscaping support, and exterior maintenance tasks.Coordinate with licensed contractors (HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers) on projects requiring specialized certification. Document all maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment issues in the facility management system.Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed, including after-hours calls when required.**Required Qualifications**High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or vocational certification preferred.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or related field.Demonstrated experience in multiple trades including basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.Working knowledge of building systems, hand tools, and power tools.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces.Effective communication skills and customer service orientation.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.**Preferred Qualifications**EPA Section 608 Universal Certification for refrigerant handling.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.Experience with building automation systems (BAS) or facility management software.Aerial lift certifications.Experience in commercial or industrial facility environments.**Physical Requirements**Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.Work in various environmental conditions including extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and heights.Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely.Visual acuity to read gauges, meters, and technical documents.**Work Schedule**Full-time, Monday-Friday, with occasional after-hours or weekend work as neededInclude on-call rotationThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
