Job summary

The Department of Land & Natural Resources, Engineering Division of the State of Hawaii is seeking an Equipment Operator II. The position requires operating two or more motorized equipment types such as trucks, backhoes and tractors/excavators with a capacity of 1.5 to under 5 tons, as part of a primary work assignment.

Applicants must have one year of relevant experience, a valid CDL Class A with no restrictions E/L, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: US citizens/nationals or eligible for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Experience and Training: ONE YEAR of work experience operating at least two motorized equipment types as Equipment Operator II or equivalent.
• CDL: Must hold a valid CDL Class A with no restrictions E or L.
• NOTE: If CDL copy is not submitted at application, the application will be rejected.
• Out-of-state CDL may be accepted; Hawaii CDL required before start date.

• May perform manual work related to general construction and maintenance.
