Attleboro Public Schools is seeking a Staff Coverage Specialist for Hyman Fine Elementary School in Attleboro, MA. This full-time role supports instruction and student learning in the absence of regular teachers, across preschool to high school grade levels.

The candidate should be flexible, professional, and capable of maintaining a safe, respectful learning environment with strong communication skills and reliability during the school day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and quickly adapt to changing situations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Rotate into various instructional and support roles across grade levels daily.
• Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher to ensure ongoing instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior in a manner that promotes a productive learning environment.
• Maintain the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which you are assigned.
• Maintain a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.
• Take attendance and document classroom activities as directed.
• Communicate with school staff regarding any issues or concerns encountered during the day.
• Supervise students in classroom and transitional settings (e.g., hallways, lunchrooms).
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Follow all school and district policies and procedures.
• Expected to be punctual to support the effective supervision and transition of students at the beginning and end of the school day.
