Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a Cook for Angry Chickz in Mesa to prepare quality menu items with attention to flavor and presentation. You will work across fry, grill, prep, and expo stations, ensuring efficiency and safety in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires teamwork, reliable attendance for mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays, and adherence to recipes and sanitation standards. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow in a busy hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service setting
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques
• Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous
• Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
• Responsible for setup and sanitation of the stations on the line
• Maintain clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
• Maintaining organization, proper labeling, and rotation of food products
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, stoves, or griddles
• Support the dietary department by following specific dietary requirements for meals
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
