Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC client, a B2B manufacturer in the sustainability sector, seeks a hands-on Chemical Engineer to drive daily operations, QA testing, and equipment management across internal facilities and CMOs. It is a fast-paced startup environment requiring versatility and a detail-oriented mindset.

The role covers production planning, equipment troubleshooting, quality-control testing, ERP data management, SOP development, and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Background in manufacturing, fulfillment, lab work, or equipment operations.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to work independently.
• Capable of planning and prioritizing inventory/fulfillment decisions.
• Experience writing clear SOPs and work instructions.
• Comfortable learning ERP systems and operating production/lab equipment.
• Willing to perform significant hands-on work alongside technical duties.
• Willing to travel internationally 1–2 weeks; visa support where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan production, fulfillment, inventory, and capacity needs.
• Assist with new equipment installations from engineering input through procurement, setup, and validation.
• Run, assess, and troubleshoot production and lab equipment; liaise with vendors for service and maintenance.
• Direct quality-control testing, including sample prep, data tracking, analysis, and reporting findings.
• Maintain ERP records for transactions, bin locations, inventory movement, lot traceability, and fulfillment details.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions for operations, labs, warehouse, and CMOs.
• Support equipment evaluations and manufacturing work at in-house and CMO sites.
• Coordinate shipment timing, documentation, packing, and pallet prep with Supply Chain.
• Make informed material selections from inventory for customer orders amid cost/quality trade-offs.
• Operate specialized converting and marking equipment for trials, sampling, and quality checks.
• Contribute to new product development and cross-functional initiatives.
• Assist with sorting, staging, cutting, packing, receiving, unloading, and material organization for testing and fulfillment.
• Travel internationally to troubleshoot issues at 1–2 week stretches.
