Responsibilities
  • Support Verizon’s global talent assessment and selection through consultation and project leadership.
  • Develop talent assessment solutions, implement assessment technology, design interviews, perform job analysis, validation analyses, and ensure legal compliance of selection practices.
Key Duties
  • Lead large-scale cross-functional projects developing selection tools using job analysis or competency modeling.
  • Manage validation studies to maximize assessment value.
  • Oversee technical strategy and execution of pre-hire assessment programs, including configuring assessments within Verizon’s HR systems and managing ATS integrations.
  • Support internal stakeholders by aligning assessment strategies with business needs and serve as an expert resource on employment testing.
  • Manage assessment and selection vendors.
  • Handle large datasets, report assessment data, and analyze applicant and employee data.
  • Ensure assessments comply with legal and professional standards, document technical processes.
  • Create guidelines, processes, and training for assessment tools.
  • Contribute to HR transformation projects like Talent GPS, Project Aurora, and Work Forward.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of work experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in selection, assessment, or talent management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degrees (Ph.D., Master’s) in I/O Psychology, OD, HR, or related fields.
  • Experience managing large-scale selection projects, vendor management, and familiarity with standards like OFCCP, SIOP, APA.
  • Strong project management, data analysis (R, SPSS, SAS), and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Workday and developing executive presentations.
Work Location and Schedule

This hybrid role includes remote work and a minimum of 8 office days/month. Scheduled weekly hours are 40.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges from $101,500 to $194,000 depending on location and experience. Verizon offers comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, 401(k), stock options, paid holidays, personal days, parental leave, tuition assistance, and more.
