What You’ll Be Doing
  • Join Verizon as a Principal Full Stack Developer within the Network Security Team, focusing on full-stack software engineering and development.
  • Develop front-end and back-end components, support feature development, lead code reviews, and ensure secure coding standards.
  • Contribute to enhancing security posture and improving user experience.
  • Design and implement user interfaces (UI/UX), build web pages, and style them using languages like Typescript, Python, and APIs.
  • Configure and deploy web applications, develop server-side logic, and manage database schemas with efficient queries.
  • Create prototypes and wireframes, gather team feedback, and refine designs.
  • Use command line tools for server management and project setup, integrate external services, troubleshoot issues, and maintain servers.
  • Utilize version control systems, evaluate code quality, perform system testing, and demonstrate ownership of responsibilities.
  • Understand network engineering languages and terminology, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and solve complex technical challenges.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or four+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Six+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with TypeScript and Python.
  • Experience with React, Nest.js, Next.js, HTML.
  • Experience with Node.js, Python, Java runtime environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Linux/RHEL, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration.
  • Database management experience (Oracle SQL, MySQL, MS SQL).
  • Proficiency with Git, security best practices, and technical problem-solving.
Work Environment

This hybrid role involves a combination of remote work and at least eight office days per month, as scheduled by your manager.
