Job summary

City of Orlando Careers is seeking a Venues Business Assistant Division Manager to oversee business and financial operations for the Orlando Venues Business Office, supporting executive leadership in managing Camping World Stadium, Kia Center, Mennello Museum of American Art, and Leu Gardens.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five years of progressive public-assembly operations experience, including supervisory duties; a Florida driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Finance Administration, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field and five (5) years extensive and progressively responsible experience managing business operations for a major public assembly facility; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Five (5) years extensive and progressively responsible experience in management of business operations for a major public assembly facility; at least two (2) years supervisory experience in governmental sector.
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Evaluate operational and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with City policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accountability, and revenue generation.

Job Summary

Performs highly responsible and complex administrative, financial and supervisory work assisting in the management of the Orlando Venues Department, with primary responsibility for the business and financial operations of the Orlando Venues Business Office. This position supports executive leadership in the administration of multiple large-scale public facilities, including Camping World Stadium, Kia Center, Mennello Museum of American Art and Harry P. Leu Gardens. The Venues Business Assistant Division Manager functions as a key operational and financial advisor to division leadership and provides day-to-day oversight of financial management, operating and capital budgets, accounting, revenue administration, procurement, contract management, event settlements, ticketing operations, and related business functions. Responsibilities include developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, evaluating operational and financial performance, ensuring compliance with applicable City policies and regulatory requirements, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accountability, and revenue generation. Work is reviewed by the Venues Business Division Manager through conferences, reports and evaluation of results achieved.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Public Finance Administration, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field and five (5) years extensive and progressively responsible experience managing business operations for a major public assembly facility, to include at least two (2) years supervisory experience in the governmental sector; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required.
