Job summary

Compass Group USA, at the University of Michigan, seeks a Venue Tech to install, configure, and maintain event technology. You will ensure all systems work properly for each event and support point-of-sale readiness.

The role calls for installing hardware, upgrading systems, and documenting issues. The schedule may include long shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring, maintaining and supporting technology systems.
• Working knowledge of networking including firewalls, switching, and wireless technology.
• Experience with Point-of-Sale systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all systems are working properly and efficiently for events.
• Ensure point of sale and other supporting systems are ready for each event.
• Install, move or replace hardware as needed.
• Assist in the implementation of system installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Document all technical issues with troubleshooting steps and status or resolution.
• Other tasks as assigned.
