Job summary

LA28 is hiring a Manager, Planning Venue Technology to lead planning and delivery of venue technology across Olympic venues. You will support programme management, reporting, and cross-functional interfaces with Venues, Infrastructure, and Energy teams.

You will manage a small team, maintain an implementation plan, and ensure documentation and change control are handled with precision. Expect varied hours during peak events and a strong emphasis on detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or relevant experience.
• Formal project or programme management qualification (e.g. Prince2, MSP, PMI).
• 5+ years in technology project management or 3+ years in programme management.
• Proven ability to manage tasks and timelines with precision and meet deadlines.
• Influence and persuade colleagues to ensure milestone delivery and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organized workflows across multiple projects.
• Advanced Smartsheet proficiency is essential.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Detail-oriented planning and ability to brief leads on schedule and delivery.
• Go above and beyond attitude and ability to handle fast-paced change.

Responsibilities

• Support the programme management and reporting function for VTS with cross-functional interfaces.
• Create and distribute periodic venue technology updates and communications.
• Assist in managing and updating the Venue Technology Implementation Plan.
• Monitor departmental workflows to keep tasks on schedule across multiple workstreams.
• Support Telecoms, Service Delivery, Results and Cyber Security in translating requirements into plans.
• Oversee day-to-day VTS administrative operations with compliance and documentation.
• Provide administrative and operational support across VTS functions, including change control and logistics.
• Undertake additional tasks as required by event delivery needs.
• Manage a small team to deliver support to the wider VTS team.
