Job summary

Opry Entertainment seeks a Security Officer to be the front line of guest and staff protection across our venues, delivering a safe and hospitable experience for all fans. The role focuses on high-visibility protection, crowd monitoring and guest assistance.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma and security experience in entertainment settings; CPR/AED and crowd management certifications are preferred. This full-time position covers indoor/outdoor venues with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, verbal and nonverbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work extended hours with physical exertion.
• Experience in security at entertainment/hospitality venues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment through high-visibility patrols and vigilant monitoring.
• Screen guests upon entry; conduct bag checks and use detectors as needed.
• Enforce policies (age, alcohol) and verify IDs; manage crowd flow.
• Protect property by preventing theft and damage via patrols and surveillance.
• Provide escorts for artists and VIPs to ensure safety and privacy.
• Respond to emergencies; assist evacuations; administer first aid/CPR/AED when required.
• De-escalate conflicts and escort unruly individuals from the venue.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and report hazards or defective equipment.
