Job summary

Opry Entertainment seeks a Security Officer to guard guests, staff, and property, ensuring a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience across iconic music venues. The role emphasizes a hospitality-first approach, high-visibility presence, and rapid response to incidents.

Ideal candidates will assess situations, de-escalate conflicts, and handle physical demands. Responsibilities include screening entrants, enforcing policies, escorting artists, and reporting hazards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours with some physical stress.
• Experience in security or law enforcement in entertainment/hospitality environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment and deliver friendly, professional service.
• Screen guests at entry using metal detectors and bag searches.
• Enforce policies including age and alcohol regulations; verify IDs and control access.
• Protect property through patrols, surveillance, and monitoring of facilities and parking areas.
• Provide escorts for artists, VIPs, and other high-profile individuals.
• Respond to emergencies per SOP; assist evacuations and administer first aid/CPR/AED.
• De-escalate crowd situations and remove unruly individuals when needed.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and report hazards or defective equipment.
• Prepare detailed incident and accident reports, verbally and in writing.
• Enforce corporate standards and procedures in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of venue.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
