Job summary

Oak View Group in Richmond, VA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing and facility operations at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. The role focuses on safety, efficiency and reliable service to events and staff.

Responsibilities include budgeting support, staff coordination, equipment inspections, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This is a part-time on-site role with benefits such as a 401(k) plan and company-matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic IT fundamentals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; willing to work long hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Electrical or Universal CFC license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assume supervisory responsibility for maintenance and operations of the venue, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, chillers, refrigeration, ice making, boilers, and associated equipment.
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for facility maintenance and operations; identify problems with staff; assign work activities; monitor workflow; evaluate methods.
• Participate in development and administration of the Operation budget; forecast funds needed for equipment and supplies.
• Perform maintenance on electrical systems and related tasks.
• Assist with general upkeep and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.).
• Troubleshoot repairs throughout facility concession stands and equipment.
