Socket.dev is building AI-powered operating systems for venture capital. You’ll turn strategic concepts into production systems using Python, LLMs, and new architectures, working directly with a Principal to ship impactful tooling and automations.

This unique role blends technical delivery with VC learning: you’ll deploy workflows across the fund and portfolio companies, own meaningful systems, and collaborate with senior investors on high-value automation projects.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a technical role (engineering, data analytics, or startup ops).
• Proficient in Python; experience writing data processing scripts and API integrations.
• Familiar with workflow automation tools (n8n, Make, Zapier) or quick learner.
• Comfortable with APIs, JSON, webhooks, and debugging integrations.
• Basic understanding of LLMs and prompt engineering.
• GitHub portfolio with real projects showing problem solving.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions without hand-holding.
• Comfortable with ambiguity; building new systems, not maintaining old ones.
