Saragossa is seeking a hands-on engineer to build production AI systems for a major VC-backed operation in New York. You will be embedded with clients, translating their needs into real software and shipping fast with real users and real stakes.

Base compensation ranges from $180,000 to $250,000, with a bonus and equity. You will own significant portions of the product and see your name on the work.

You are the person who builds the thing, ships it, and sees it change how a major VC firm operates in real time.

This is a rare seat. A well-capitalized AI venture fund with a genuinely unique business model is building out its engineering function, and you are on the ground floor of that. There is serious committed capital behind this, which means the resources are real and the ambition matches them.

You are not maintaining legacy systems or waiting for approvals. You are embedded with clients, understanding what they actually need, and then building it. Production AI systems, shipped fast, with real users and real stakes. That is your day to day.

The work sits at the intersection of engineering and client partnership. You are in conversations with sophisticated investors and operators, translating complex requirements into working software. You understand their world, the data sources they rely on, platforms like Pitchbook, iLevel, Affinity, Dealcloud, and you build tools that plug into that ecosystem and make it smarter.

This would be a strong next move if you are a couple of roles into your career and ready to own something properly. You are done being one of twenty engineers on a feature. You want to see your name on the work.

You have shipped production AI systems before. You are comfortable in client-facing environments and you do not need to be handed a spec. You figure it out, build it, and iterate.
