Job summary

Gunderson Dettmer seeks a junior or mid-level associate to join our Debt Financing group in our Boston or New York office. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of direct experience in structuring and negotiating commercial loan facilities and other secured transactions.

You will counsel both venture-backed and public companies, with significant client contact and interaction with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and venture fund general partners.

Qualifications

• JD 2022–2024 with admission or eligibility to waive into NY or MA bar.
• 2+ years in structuring and negotiating commercial loan facilities and secured transactions.
• Experience representing lenders or borrowers in debt finance, including venture debt and asset-based lending.

Responsibilities

• Counsel venture-backed and public companies on debt financing and secured transactions.
• Interact with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and venture fund general partners.
• Provide client-focused, collaborative legal support in a team setting.
