Connecticut Innovations (CI) is seeking a Venture Capital Analyst to support investment investigations and portfolio development in New Haven. You will help with market research, financial modeling, and due diligence across multiple funds.

Applicants should have a finance degree and internship experience in relevant fields, with an entrepreneurial, curious mindset and strong teamwork. Local residency in Connecticut is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or the equivalent is required.
• Internship experience in market research, management consulting, venture capital or investment management.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen for investment evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Represent CI at industry events and develop relationships with potential co-investors.
• Screening and analysis of potential investments.
• Conducting due diligence and competitive analysis.
• Financial modeling and valuation analysis, collaborating with the CI Venture team.
• Preparing reports and proposals regarding potential investments and portfolio companies.
• Drafting term sheets and reviewing financing documents.
